The Casualties!!

Alright, so my inner punk was just in total rioting frenzies on Saturday night. I was invited to head over to a local venue and see... THE CASUALTIES... perform. This well known hardcore punk band just blew my mind. As well as my aching body. Thrown about... jumped on... spiked... punched... complete and utter chaos as I recall. I was in the front on the barriers.. jumping up and singing lyrics... when all of a sudden Rick (bassist)... grabs the mic and says... "You know what I f-ing hate?.. I hate barriers... Security.. move the barriers... I wanna see you f-ing move!" And that.. minna-san.. is when every ounce of restraint was removed. I had kids with eight inch mohawks throwing themselves up onto the stage.. at one point the kid with the blue-green death-hawk grabbed me around the neck and just started headbanging with me... I crawled up and knelt on the stage in my chaotic attire of red and black plaid... spikes on my wrists kept the rioters at bay behind me.. Complete chaos and numbing pain as I threw myself into the crowds and up on the amps... I grabbed Jake's mic at one point and started singing with him... he just grinned and nodded.. and after I sang the chorus.. I leapt off to be devoured by the raging sea of punks... At one point I remember a tremendous amount of pain on my shoulder as this really burly guy came jumping up with combat boots onto my back... my fist met his face and I didn't see him again for twenty minutes. Point for me... I think I knocked him out completely for a while there. >3 Wow... my head was just spinning with the amazing energy of it all. Felt great to get some raw emotion out there and vocalized. Oh.. and I have pictures.. a couple of my own since I was right on the stage... only pulled my camera out a couple times because it was so crazy in there... and then my friend Stacie got some from the back and a couple of us up close... So credit to her and here are a few of mine. Mainly of Rick.. because he was AWESOME... and so was Jake (guitarist)... he actually jumped off his amp... the man can still move!

I am so sick today... sore throat and massive pain all over... still haven't recovered from the show... And now minna-san.. I'm heading out to Arizona for my Great-Grandfather's 101st birthday! I'll be in touch on occasion while out there. <33 you all...
