Might as well.......
So anyways..............time for an update.
Lisa and I are doing very well...most of you are in the "know", others may have just "heard something"....and I honestly believe we are better than at any time in our 6yrs together. i love this woman with all my heart and I am fortunate she has stuck by me through some REALLY shitty times in my life. The oathbreaking thread on the NE list has me thinking and I commend a lot of the people who have spoken up about their experiences, it is kinda hard for me still but I have been doing some 1-on-1 talks with people I respect and truly trust.
Work is going.......well, it's going. I work for a company that make flexible polyurethane foam and I am the Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator. I am responsible for this plant and my boss is the regional EHS Manager so he travels a lot. I won't go into the "we came out of bankruptcy a few years ago" rant or the "how the f&@# can you operate a company this way" rant either....
I like my job, I am really good at it and apparently some of the higher uppity-ups have "been noticing", I was given first crack at the EHS Managers position at our plant in Santa Teresa N.M., I was flattered they thought highly enough of me to ask but I declined due to...well, it's N.M. which means hot, and the fact what they were going to pay me was about the same that lisa makes out here...it would have been financial suicide, or at the very least financial self flagellation for a spell.
It seems I will be travelling to our plant in Cornelius N.C. in Spetember to assist their Coordinator with some stuff since the regional from that plant quit and left Rhonda is a serious lurch......
From what my boss has been telling me...profusely I might add...he has the best Coordinator blah blah blibbity blah, and apparently I am a rising star...hopefully not a Phoenix though. It's weird, I am willing to give advice to whomever ask's but it seems like he wants me to help the other Coordinator's "without being asked" and that's jut not "me".....That and the fact that some of them misrepresented themselves on their resume, are way over their head or just flat out suck...out of the 6 Coordinators, 2-3 of us are "doing well". I had to fill out some Corporate "where do you want to be" type thing last week and I flat out said my goals were to be EHS Manager here or at the very least "Lead Coordinador"........It seems our...Bob and myself's...boss wasn't too happy with the lack of advancement within the compnay "enthusiasm" he saw on some of the forms.....
Let's see.......what else before I sign off for now.....
oh yeah.....one of the un-domesticated animals here took a dump on the floor inside one of the men's room stalls and just left it there. The position of said dump was a marvel, to get it where it was it would have had to been placed there, either that or a really big rat is lurking around the plant at night.
