Can't say I recognized Ben with all that Christmas bling... That, and I've never watched Lost.
I'm doing really well. The job is really exhausting but rewarding at the same time. Occasionally I get to feel superior when one/some of the Au Pairs in a given week seriously qualify for head exams. Being foreign doesn't mean you can be excused from having common sense.
But enough of that. The job's fun. I keep telling my family that I really don't feel like I'm working or like I've graduated. Instead I feel like I'm just procrastinating that next paper or putting off studying for an exam by working in the office or being on call. I love when the reality sets in that I don't have to be responsible for that kind of stuff anymore.
There's still a bit of a learning curve, and now that my coworker just quit it's just my boss and me running the place until we get a replacement. My boss is also in Germany right now on a business trip, so I'm effectively running the place until she gets back Sunday (and with the time difference, she'll probably be out of commission til Weds). Thankfully we aren't in session this week due to Thanksgiving, but I still have to answer all the phones, check the multiple email accounts, and check in at the office tomorrow. I've been home since Friday, but Ross is getting home tonight and tomorrow the whole fam will come out to see my office and the apartment now that I've actually been living in it for a few months.
Speaking of apartments, how's your search going for one in Brooklyn?
