note: Basically, I'm using pretty much the same text I used for my app in some of the fields here, because I'm lazy LIKE THAT.

[Background]
Our story starts in the glorious year of 1971. Inspector Zenigata (a descendant of Heiji Zenigata, a quite famous 'policeman' from the Edo period) starts off - in the anime canon at least - as a high-ranking officer of the Tokyo Police Force, who aims to catch and arrest the world-renowned thief Lupin the Third, following his ancestors footsteps (who happened to be after his father, Lupin the Second).

Although, he's constantly outsmarted by his rival, even when he knows when and where Lupin is going to show up next. It seems like he's always one step behind the thief, no matter how hard he tries.

When the first series ends (with Zenigata being lead to believe that Lupin died, just to discover minutes later that he's alive and well), he's expelled from the Tokyo Police Force due to his constant failures, and ultimately becomes a type of 'forest ranger' in some park on the countryside.

Things go like that for something about 5 years, until Zenigata is invited to join the ICPO (aka The Interpol), and is later on lured to a boat with the promise that Lupin will show up there. Lupin is indeed there, but had been lured there too by a fake invitation. They call a truce for a short while but after the destruction of the boat, the truce is lifted, and this is the starting point of his world-wide pursuit after his long time rival Lupin.

He goes all around the world after him, going to each and every police station in the world to warn them about Lupin, claiming he knows he'll be there because he knows the thief better than anyone else. Warns that everyone seems to shrug off at first, but then regret doing so because Zenigata was right. Occasionally though, officers will believe him (or maybe even request his services) and will aid him on his 'quest', but even with help from others he never seems to obtain any kind of success.

[Personality]
Zenigata is a determined individual. No matter how many time he fails at what he's trying to do. He'll try and try again until he succeeds. Although, that causes him to focus too much in one thing, to the point where he starts neglecting everything else around him, including himself. That means he might go days without eating and/or sleeping, depending of how 'focused' he is on his final aim.

But, the fact that he can go without eating for a long time doesn't mean he doesn't have an appetite. Zenigata is always seen eating great quantities of food, but not always eating things that are 'healthy'. Piles of hamburgers and bowl after bowl of instant noodles are a great example of his eating habits, and strangely enough he seems to be able to maintain his body fit to fight and run whenever it is necessary.

Besides, the fact that 1) he's a cop and 2) is somewhere over his 40's, might make him somewhat grumpy from time to time, but he can be laid back when he wants to (although, with Lupin out there roaming the streets, he knows he can never truly relax!).

Finally, he has a great sense of duty, and he'll try and protect innocent people from robbers and any kind of criminals, even when not requested (so, misunderstandings are prone to happen, like when he beat up all those undercover officers...).

[Specialties/Abilities]
Aside from the 'not easting/sleeping' thing that had been mentioned earlier (which is almost a special ability), Zenigata is, indeed, a lot more fit than he age might suggest. he can take on a multitude of people, all at the same time, when it comes to hand in hand combat, and seems to have an almost super-human resistance to injures. Like, he can fall down a really long set of stairs and reach the end virtually unharmed.

Also, he has the ability to throw handcuffs of all sizes with amazing precision, with Lupin being, probably, the only one that can 'escape' from such technique. He can also throw coins at people, like his predecessor Heiji Zenigata, even though his proficiency with these is quite 'inferior' than the one he has with handcuffs.

[Affection]
Zenigata is kind of, sort of open for affection. Is just that, he isn't exactly 'lucky' in that department, so he tends to be a little bit 'stiff' when it comes to that, but if you show affection, he might loosen up and return the favor <3

[Fighting]
Zenigata can fight quite well for a man of his age, but he doesn't start fights. He's a cop after all. Cops don't start fights (at least, the ones that have an honor to maintain like Zeni here). But if you throw the first punch, he'll be more than willing to punch back, because he isn't going to accept such an insult! He might also punch you if he thinking you are doing something against the law, unless you have a really good explanation!

[Other Permissions] I don't even know if it's possible to go 4th wall breaking with this character *lol*

[Other Facts] Well, Zeni here is obsessed with Lupin, so, if you ever want to distract him for a moment, just go "Hey, isn't that Lupin over there?" and he'll instantly forget you XD
