The whole morning taken up with ordering groceries from Safeway. Currently dealing with their imbecilic shopper system. They keep sending me links I can't use because their web site won't let me login with my correct email. They both demand and reject it. Does every supermarket chain have incompetent IT people? Or just the ones I patronize? Anyway, I didn't want to spend my afternoon like this. At the moment I'm not sure if I hate commerce or technology more.
But what I really wanted to note today was that it is the sixth anniversary of the fire that burned Paradise from one end to the other in half a day. I've never really been able to get my life back together after that, and probably never will. I still miss those cats I lost, and still have no idea if any survived and simply didn't show up (or weren't recognizable) on the web pages I spent the next few months following. No joy. It's dry today too, but not windy, which was what spread that fire so fast. If we got a fire now it would move more slowly. There is still supposed to be rain Monday, for which we will all be glad, I'm sure.
Feeling very tired about now. My niece was out of town so a nephew has to pick up the groceries, and can't until after five o'clock. I could really use a nap, and will probably flop into bed as soon as he gets them here, and then wake up in the dog forsaken middle of the night and be unable to get back to sleep. Maybe I'll get lucky and just not wake up.
