It constantly amuses me when I see that someone writes "Model" on their myspace profile under jobs, etc. when they're clearly not.
Just because your friend took pictures of you for an art project at school or maybe because you put on a pair of underwear and walked the stage at PURE, does not make you a model. You don't have the face. You don't have the body. A casting agent wouldn't even give you a second glance.
And let's be honest, most of the time you took the picture on your own. Your photo shop skills need work.
I have friends using me for their projects all the time. I have a collection of really awesome shots that could actually appear in a catalogue. Am I model? No. I just got lucky and am friends with some really talented people.
