Life after PSU, Britney, and a movie review or two...

Since I haven't been able to get my computer hooked up to the internet, I haven't been on AIM. As a result, I've lost contact with a lot of people and they're demanding to know what I'm doing with my life... so here is an update:

I'm currently living back in Huntingdon, in the nice cul-de-sac of relatives we like to call Petersville.

I'm still working at Mario & Luigis in State College and making awesome tips. Unfortunatley, I think I'm spending as much as I'm making when I'm out at the bars. I work pretty much all day, every weekend. Then the M & L crew go out together and I'll stay in S.C. with different friends so that I'm not wasting gas money driving back and forth. The point of all of this is to save up money for moving to New York with Kate. I'm hoping to make it happen after Christmas. *fingers crossed*

To occupy my time in Huntingdon, I've started training for swimming again. I swim with my old highschool swim team coach. She makes me workouts and they're gradually getting harder and more difficult. I'm currently doing 2000 yds in about 45 mins. I don't have a clue how we used to do 6000 yds in 2 hours. I'll blame it on old age.

Gymnastics has been pushed to the back burner. I go when I can but about the only time I'm in State College is when I'm working. When I have the day off, the last thing I feel like doing is driving back over the mountain for gymnastics practice. If it works out that I'm in town and there is practice, I'm all for it.

Now for a random note: Britney Spears. I'll defend her performance on the VMAs against anyone who brings it up. Did she suck, yes. Did she look lethargic, yes. But I have absolute faith in her comeback. She looked terrified on that stage and I don't blame her. She's had an insane couple of years and then to stand up in front of all your former competition when you used to be top dawg, knowing that they know all your dirty laundry, that's rough. I'd be a deer in headlights, too.

As for people calling her fat. She didn't look fat at all. She looked normal and healthy. Her legs and boobs were the same. She still has those sexy ass dimples on her back. The only reason people think she looked fat is because she didn't have the 6 pack abs we're used to looking at. Instead she had a normal stomach. People say that she should have covered it up. If she had covered it up, then everyone would be talking about how she covered her stomach up because she's fat now. Wardrobe was a no win situation. I think she looked fine.

All in all, the song is so fucking hot. I grinded to it on sunday night and it was a total slut fest on the dance floor. I've had it on repeat in the car. If she makes an awesome video for the song, everyone will ignore her VMA performance. Cause lets face it, people do want her to succeed. That's why Sarah Silverman bombed during her stand-up act following Britney's opening performance. She came out making fun of Britney Spears (which the jokes were actually hilarious) but everyone felt bad. Britney did something courageous and even though it was a bad performance, they were rooting for her. It was like running her over with a car after she had already been beaten to the ground.... for lack of a better analogy, lol.

Hmmm... let's see.... what else? Halloween was good. They left enough things the same to make fans of the original happy, and changed enough to keep us from being bored. I actually jumped quite a lot. The beginning felt a little too long but it was entertaining. Star Dust is freakin' amazing and I'm getting it as soon as it comes out on DVD. Michelle Pfeiffer can do no wrong.

My grandfather made a full recovery in 3 days after his stroke. We are so lucky.

Wanna know anything else, just ask, cause I'm kicked...
