Anyone who reads this, did any of ya'll watch that FX mini-movie "Oil Storm"?
It was a "fake" newsreport based in the summer of 05. A category 5 hurricane hits southern LA and destroys some of the oil refineries down there, which handles 15-25% of our oil that feeds this country. There was an immediate spike in prices, the ports in Houston became overcrowded to the point where there was an invetiable collision of tankers which caused more economic damage. Long story short, the economy collapsed over the course of a few years because of our dependence on oil and the damage caused by the hurricane.
Makes me wonder how far from "fake" this documentary really was.
