My preferred weapon of choice, though I suppose a sword wouldn't be too terrible of an addition as well.

New York? Never heard of it. But I doubt you'll have heard of Archades or Rabanastre.

There's no security like the security you get from a beautiful 12-gauge.

You're right. I haven't. Take it you're not from around here?

You'd be right. I'm from a place called Ivalice. Interesting place to stay as long as there isn't a war going on. On the bright side, we seem to be lacking in those for the moment and may not be having them for awhile.

War. Huh.

It's too bad that even in another world, there ain't humans who can keep themselves out of it.

You're actually surprised over it? As long as there are wicked people, there are bound to be wars... or something like that. "Jealous," "too ambitious," or "outright idiots," may be better terms.

No, I'm not surprised. Just getting sick of it happening over and over.

Ah, can't say I have any help for that. Only advice I have for you is to ignore it and carry on with business as usual.

Tough to ignore it when it ruins your life.

Not really. You just don't think about it and attempt a new career.

Yeah. Ruined that too.

And how similar was this career to what you were doing before? If it falls into the realm of similar enough, that might have been your problem.

It's tough to get a job off of death row.

...Sorry, don't have any advice for that. If it ever came to that, I wouldn't get caught.

Yeah. That's the plan.

I'd appreciate tact in keeping that quiet, by the way. I dunno, I guess you sounded like the type who'd get it.

If I'm really that see-through, I think I should begin to worry.

Keeping it quiet? That I can do. Of the many things I possess, I'd like to think that tact is one of them.
