15" German viola, c. 1860. Rich red brown color, deep dark tone. Bought from Kapeller violins in September of 2000. Excellent condition. Needs new strings. Bow rehaired, instrument checked and resealed as of May 2005. All repairs done by John Larrimore (master violin maker, Richmond). Appraised at $3500.
