John had woken up a new man all over again, and if he was more than just a little happy, then he really saw no wrong in that. He was pleased to find Leoben in the compound, which cut out the whole walking over to find him bit of John's day. They still had to clean up the fort they'd built all the way down in the basement, though, and John was thinking of taking Leoben up on that offer of a haircut.
"Hey," John said softly, and nodded in the direction of the stairs. He remembered Leoben hadn't exactly had a great of a time as John had over the weekend, and he knew that given time, they'd talk about it soon enough. "One thing about being a kid? You almost never have to clean up your messes if you're good enough," he said wistfully, and started down the stairs.
