Keeping you in the loop
I haven't been updating much. There's a number of reasons for that but I figured I'd try to post something at least.
2012 isn't shaping up to be great so far. Mostly health issues. Where do I begin?
You guys already know my mum's had cancer since the middle of last year. She's on strong medication that's been affecting her pretty badly with nasty side effects and such. This last week she's had two painful blows.
Firstly she just found out that her good friend Allison, who she stays with when she goes to London for her cancer clinic appointments, has just ALSO been diagnosed with cancer. A lump on her leg turned out to be cancerous, and a pretty rare and fast-growing one, too.
Then secondly, my mum's nurse got back to her about bloods... it's looking very likely from her anti dsDNA results that my mum has lupus. A score above 50 is a positive indicator for it. Hers was 102. Cancer AND lupus. Oh my fucking god. It might be the medication that caused it, or she might have had it asymptomatically for a while. Either way, she's obviously not happy. I feel horrible for her.
General health in the family has been pretty poor, too. Jei just got over a flu thing but now I have it. With her, she mainly had a fever and chills and aches. For me right now the worst thing is the sore throat. I got up at like 6am this morning on account of not being able to sleep 'cause it hurt so much. Gfgfklhfkhfk. Also, my 80-something-year-old dad recently had pneumonia(!) and my brother was off work for five days with a gastro-flu. Bluh.
But yeah, the big bad news is that my mum's friend also has cancer now, and my mum may have lupus.
Also still selling stuff on eBay. At least that's going fairly well because FUCK I need the money. Of course I messed up already and accidentally got two peoples' packages shipped to the wrong person but luckily they both live in the UK and are both willing to just swap them, lol.
I'll post again some time soon, I guess. I'm not dead. Just. Yeah.
