This is a complete aside from what I wrote earlier: what is it about girls that they can be so...normal, sane, logical, fun, intelligent...but when their boyfriends appear their brain turns to mush? They are preoccupied with blowing wet kisses and pawing at the air like kittens, mumbling some sort of deranged baby-talk? WHY??? Is anyone immune? Will I, one day, become a mumbling idiot for some boy? I am afraid that it might be true. I swear, this googly-eyed cooing is making me nauseous. Why can't girls be smart around guys? You are when you're trying to attract one, but once you've got one you have to be as sticky-sweet as flypaper. Please, God, don't let this happen to me. Or, if it does, please let someone have the good sense to smack me.
