Day 1--TEAM JONES reigns victorious
OMG--I am offically going to make the WORST Homeroom mom...ever. While attempting to make brownies tonight for the GSA bake sale tomorrow, I managed to
A) Get chocolately brownie mix all over every ingredient, tool, and bowl
B) Not combine the mix enough to get rid of dry powder yet so much that there were massive air bubbles
C) Burn the edges of the brownies in one pan although they were in the oven less than half the time it should have taken them to cook
D) Cut the brownies so that half are miniscule and the rest are gigantic
E) Turn the brownie squares into reconstructed brownie balls
F) (while trying to pry a piece of burned brownie edge from the pan) hit myself in the eye with a flying bit-o-brownie
G) Break my mother's favorite ten-year-old cake cutter
Yeah, so I officially suck. And I got a claddaugh (sorry about the spelling) ring from my grandmother that she got while she was in Ireland. I'm very happy--I may not be Irish, but at least my ring is!
Congrats to everyone on senior awards night--but com'mon Alex, you didn't get the Technical Education Award? I'm so ashamed (tsk tsk). But seriously, I'm really proud of all you guys. Yay AP and her English/Scholar awards! If anyone else got more, I'm sending out a general congrats because I left early.
Well, so I need sleep and I guess I'll have to write more about more stuff later. Time to sleep now.
