I've decided that this year, I'm going to learn to ride a bike.
I figure it's about time that I did, seeing as it's one of those things that most people would include on a list of "Things You Should Know by Age 10", and I am definitely a little older than 10. It'll be a nice way to get around come summer, I think, and if I add a cutesy basket, a better way to do groceries than hauling several thousand bags up the block every week.

Besides which, there's my dad's plan to bike across Canada.
My parent's "honeymoon" (they eloped and ran away for a couple years, so it wasn't a very traditional one) consisted of a ginormous bike-trip across most of Australia. I was always super-fascinated by it, and by the time I was six or seven, Dad had concocted a plan for the two of us to ride across Canada (he left my sisters out of the plan for some reason, and I never questioned it... they were never as keen on camping as I was as a kid, I guess?).
He came to visit a couple of weeks ago, and while looking for a movie to go see, he mentioned that he should probably start making a Bucket List of his own. Then he casually mentioned that he was hoping that we'd one day get to go on our infamous Bike Trip, starting in B.C, and ending in Nova Scotia, despite the fact that I had refused to learn as a kid.

Hopefully, by the end of this summer, the only thing standing in our way of it will be trying to find the time between school and work for a couple months of biking and camping.
