For my kid lit class (which is one of the high points of my week: yesterday we talked about Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH and fantasy books. I was in the zone.). Due next week I have a "genre study" and I've decided, I think, on Fantasy (big shock). Any book suggestions? I'm thinking fifth grade as the age group.
Also, a question for anyone who's a teacher or a librarian. Or, who knows. The final project for this class is a library, and so I'm trying to figure out how you know at what reading level kids books are. I'm thinking of the Guided Reading levels (the ones that are A-Z). Any ideas or suggestions of where to find out, like some kind of database? Suggestions of good age-apropriate books for that would be good too (probably also 5th grade).
Also, I added some more icons to my scrapbook
here. If you like one, feel free to take and share, but I would love credit, thanks muchly.
So now, the big question: watch The Island allllll by myself? Or think of something else to do?
Decisions, decisions... at least, either way, I can do laundry at the same time. w00t.
And boo, I am still le tired from the jet lag (and OMG my entry was CRACK. Apologies and redfacedness to all who saw it.)
Cheers!
