My throat huuuuuuurts...

Apr 16, 2010 10:43

(apologies for the weird formatting, I wish that email posts to LJ didn't
have such crazy pointless margins. Oh well.)

I knew this whole continuous stuffy nose seemed too good to be true. I woke
up this morning with a sore throat. Clearly, something dripped down my
throat (sorry for the quasi-TMI). Blerg. I am in the computer room between
classes (I am actually teaching computers today and yesterday, which
prompted Younger Sister to ask, "But Flyakate, what could you teach a
computer?" Ahaha. My sides ache, she's such a comedian.) and steeling myself
for my afternoon. Where I have two. classes. of. kindergartners. in. a. ROW.

Pray for me.

But then I get to goof off for a couple hours and then babysit for a friend,
which will be fun. Also, at some point I have to bake something delicious
for the SF Food Bloggers Bake Sale from the Share Our Strength foundation that sponsors bake
sales and other events to raise money for hungry families, especially
children. Which is good. And cute.

OMG, I have forgotten all about posting about my blog! I created a
cooking/baking/foodness blog! It is linked to my RL name, so I will probably
post the link under friends lock. If they're anything super
interesting/useful, I'll probably double-post it over here, or at least link
(in the case of recipes, etc.) It's called "If I Knew You Were Coming, I'd
Have Baked a Cake", thanks to rhymester for the idea!

In other foodie news, Top Chef Master is back! I'm still a week
behind (and though the long-haired dude was kind of whiney) and think it's a
little strange that they're letting chefs from last season come
back--seriously, letting guys like Wylie Dufresne mess up once wasn't
enough? Or do we really need to hear Ludo complain about everything is
unfair and against him for a second time? But whatever. Nice to see chefs
have to work under time constraints, and you can definitely tell who has
been actually working in their kitchen, as opposed to overseeing.

Happy Friday, everyone!
