Fever Dreams...

Yesterday I came down with something, and last night I had a fever. All night I was having annoying fever dreams, the kind that involve impossible tasks that repeat over and over. The particular dream I had was that my whole body was one of those sliding block puzzles (sometimes called The 15 Puzzle) that I remember from childhood (see http://www.puzzleworld.org/slidingblockpuzzles/15.htm to see what I am referring to). Since my whole body was the puzzle, to move the blocks I had to move my body into different positions. To complicate matters I couldn't see the blocks, I could only feel them. I knew what number I was on by how 'hot' the block was. (Needless to say, I was pretty feverish... I felt like I was sleeping in a very hot sauna). Whenever I got close to solving the puzzle, something would shift and the whole puzzle would scramble and I would have to start over. This happened over and over and over and over, until sometime in the morning when the fever finally broke.

Just weird to imagine my body as a bunch of hot bricks arranged into a puzzle.

I feel much better today, just a little low energy.
