I've developed this horrible habit of not only leaving assignments until the proverbial "last minute," but actually imploding completely the night before and then doing the whole thing DURING the class that it's due. Maybe nighttime just isn't "my time" for that type of thinking, so I should probably take a lesson and use all the mornings I have ahead of time more productively.
Today I managed to finish my lab report during class (not in class, though-- I did it at the library) and it took me just 2 hours to write not only the 1000 word body of it, but conduct all the research and construct 2 tables and a graph. I've written more in less time, but this was definitely my most multi-faceted rush job to date. So I guess I'm proud of myself. I think it's honestly a pretty good report.
All of you are ecstatic to be reading about school stuff right now, I'm sure.
Anyway, the coming days will probably be equally rushed. I was planning to go home this afternoon to sleep before working tonight at Vision Research, but I dunno... finishing that report kinda killed this morning's horrible mood (thankfully), so I might as well do something I'll thank myself for in a few days and get more work done on my legibility/perception research thing (which I've been lingering at for far too long). I guess I don't think that lying in bed will really do anything to improve my mood anymore.
Then tomorrow, I'm gonna try and finish as much research as possible (80 cards maybe???), and in the evening attempt to have both a Primeval and Uigg jam. I think it's hitting me how much work it'll really take to pull off the Primeval reunion show as well as I want to. I need to learn 4 cover songs on drums (two of which are pretty complex), and everyone else in the band needs to learn them on their respective instruments too. We need to be tight on all of them, as well as on the 4 originals we're planning to play. That in itself is hard enough to do in less than a month when you can generally only jam once a week. Factor that in with a new second guitarist who has to learn everything, and a bassist living in Saint John (hey Christoph :P), and it's a pretty tall order. This is the chance I've been waiting for for two years now, though, so I've gotta do everything I can to make it work. It makes me wonder, though, if Uigg will be able to make much progress during the next month.
Oh yeah, and the final exam for my course falls somewhere in between all of that too. I guess if I want all of this to work out I really need to set my priorities, because any lack of organization (especially within the band(s)) is going to be a problem.
Hey Christoph and Derrick! I probably emailed you guys about practice by the time you're reading this!
Ok, that was boring for everyone except me. Lunch time now...
