Weekend in NYC

So I was doing a Google search on my name...and realized that not only am I a famous Opera singer, I graduated from over 30 schools in the last four years. That's pretty impresive for a pilot, hhuh? Watched the Simpsons like a loyal idiot that I am. Not too impressed at all. They have been doing the Tree House of Horror for 15 years and I think they may have exceded their funny limit at 10. But that's just me. My roommate had a friend pass away on Friday night while I was in New York City visiting Ron Carlos. So when I got back to the dorms on Saturday night I was able to put everything aside and clean her side of the room in my feelings of remorse for her loss. A friend of ours was very insensitive to the whole situation saying something along the lines of "You know her and her friends, and it was bound to happen." What kind of shit it that? It's not like we are best friends, my roomate and me, but I still know that she's a person. I was pissed about it for most of the night and decided to put a call in to my cousin Ian, who is currently stationed at Gulf Port, Mississippi. It was nice to talk to him, because what he said was, this kid is probably having issues with death himself. Either he's insecure about himself dying, or he's had issues with other people dying. Which makes sense to me. Other than that I had a great time in the City with Ron. We went to a great Mexican restaurante not far from his dorm on 55th and 3rd. Then headed up to a park on the East river past the Queensboro bridge...which after walking all those blocks is WAY farther than I ever want to have to walk in the city on a cold windy night again. I met his boyfriend, Peter, who seems like a very nice boy born to the right kind of people. I wish lots of luck to everyone this weekend as I venture up to Clifton Park for a hockey game that the Farmingdale Rams are playing against Chrissy's St.Rose Knights. GO RAMS...Get off your knees, you're blowing the game. It should be a blast. See you all very soon. MEG~
