the long weekend in a nutshell
Thursday: We get word that Ben and Nick's (a bar in Oakland) just tapped a keg of the very rare Pliny the Younger. We drop everything and go. Matt enjoys this deluxe beer and I am designated driver to the movies. We use our free movie passes to see "An Education" even though the woman at the box office initially rejects our passes.
Friday: I got an intense massage that kicked my ass. I always complain that deep tissue isn't deep enough. Wow, it was so deep that I felt bruised. Hopefully when the pain goes away the muscles will be less tense too.
Saturday: Work is insane because we are ridiculously short staffed. 4 people are sick. I almost took family leave this weekend to go to New York, but that didn't work. If I didn't show up they would have really be screwed. (The library is closed Friday and Monday for holidays, but open Saturday and Sunday.)
Sunday: We have our last childbirth class on Valentine's Day. Apparently there will be a quiz. I did not study. Matt didn't study either, so it will be no help to cheat off of him. We are probably the worst students in the class who never do the homework.
Monday: Making postcards with Carolee!
