I have a bunch of AmEx points, but I never use them because I'm never quite sure if that's what I want to spend them on. The only times I've redeemed them in the past was to get gift cards for my sis when I was low on funds. But the points have been racking up since then.

I'm a little fixated on getting a saddle bag. I really like this one, and I'm pretty sure I have enough points to get it for free or close to free. The other thing that looks good is a gift card for Willams-Sonoma to get some fancy bakeware/cookware or that popsicle maker that can make creamsicles. Or should I finally get an ipod like the rest of the world?

I can't commit to how I want to use my points. I'm convinced that as soon as I redeem them I'll regret it because there will be something better. How I deal with my credit card points is illustrative of how I approach my life in general. I never want to make a decision because I'm too caught up in all the choices. I don't want to end all the possibilities.

The points never expire, so I guess I'll just keep accumulating them.
