(no subject)
i haven't spoken extensively to my new jewish roommate, j. rosenberg, but i'm unsure about a certain encounter that happened last night. well, a couple days ago syd was over and joel was nearby in his room next door. in a generally raucous voice i jokingly exclaimed a sentence ending with .."when usually i'm anti-semitic!!" i was pretty nervous about it the moments the words issued forth from my lips, which caused a sudden silence as i was whispering over whether or not he had overheard. i hadn't seen or spoken to him since. however, last night he knocks on my door while benny and i are just sitting around and he says "there are some bagels and challah here if you're interested." i was all like, oh challah's really good. and they are in the kitchen, but i'm just wondering, is that a weird coincidence or what?
