Why our medical system is in trouble
Just got all the insurance statements for getting the freckle removed from my toe. Here are the totals:

So what about the poor guy who has no medical insurance? Does he have to pay the whole $6800? It seems to me they should charge the same amount to the guy who is too poor to afford medical insurance as they do if you are insured.
It sure seems like a lot for one stupid freckle. But I don't know what I could have done to make it any cheaper. The doctors give advice and I follow it.
