*sleepy* ]

So, I finally arrived in Stockholm this afternoon, after a very long and surprisingly tiring journey. The day before yesterday my parents drove me from Chambéry to Geneva where I stayed the night in a hotel to leave for Basel early the next morning. The trainride to Basel left me feeling nauseous, not because this is my first time travelling alone but because the train was tilting all over the place (this is actually supposed to make for a better journey but it does not really work that way for people who get travel sickness. Beurk.)

In Basel I had a two hour wait to marvel at the large station (Amsterdam Central Station is not nearly that big) before I travelled on to Berlin. Imagine my surprise when I got off the ICE to set foot in the new Berlin Central Station. The first five minutes there I merely gaped and stared (the station is this huge glass-and-steel structure that is four stories high with trains arriving and departing on every level). The NachtZug to Malmö left at 23:23 but I was able to stow my pack away around 23:00. More time to marvel at the tinyness of the train before we took off and I tried to go to sleep. It was not even such a bad journey, sleepwise, but I was rather startled to see that after a two hours of driving the train was driven onto a ferry (or rather, into a ferry). It is the strangest feeling to be on a train yet feel as though you are on a boat. Of course I was both.

The ride from the ferry to Stockholm has to be for another time because my internet credit is almost gone.

For now I wish you all goodnight. I hope to give a longer update later this week but first there is Stockholm to explore!

Love,
Nine
