I read your discussion with Alex - very interesting and points to who really defines developing and developed. I'm sure the U.N. must have something that just might be a little less oppressive than the G8's version.
Anyway, thinking further about a possible "project" for you while you are in White Rock one thing came to mind which can be modified into various versions: learning about managing a small business. It could be related to running a bakery for example, since you know a lot about baking for commercial purposes. It could be related to something musical: I heard of a small company that makes audio equipment for amplifying the sounds of various instruments (in Calgary) if there is something like this in White Rock. It could be related to geography with something like map making or reforestation. It could be related to running an orchard or a winery. These are just some of my brain storm ideas.
I've had a marathon canning session for the last 2 1/2 days and am tired now. I made canned ginger pears, apple & tomato chutney and apple jelly.
