nightwish
...went to Nightwish concert...my first concert... so fantastic and fun! :D
got all dressed up with nicole, and queued, and tickets, and got wonderful spots on the balcony - in the middle and a row back, which ended up being in front by the 3rd song of nightwish... so yay for not being squashed!
..support band ok, then wait... and then... WOW!!! just blew you away...sound and energy and lights and just all surrounding music... I Loved It so much!!!
they did lots of the songs from the new albumn, which i didn't really know, but were still lovely, suit the new singers voice and great fun, liked the starting with 'bye bye beautiful', and 'amaranth' and 'let in the dark'..... also the lovely changing "poet and the pendulum" (dreamers hideaway), "cadence of her last breath" and "saharaa"(100 nights unseen), "Whoever brings the night", "the islander" (long forgotten light at the end of the world..with really cool down spotlights and guitar) rockin' "7 days to the wolves" ...(I've had to come home and find the actual names of the songs :P)
and they were so funny and relaxed and had cute accents... it was their last show...and there was jokers to the audience, "rubbers" and bunny ears and OiOiOi and coming back on for teh encore everyone knew was going to happen, and the whole crowd was bouncing and shouting...
...and then the old favourites... 'dark chest of wonders', , and wonderful "wishmaster", "nemo" and ending with a fuckin fantastic, singing along banging "I wish I had an angel"....
...i know there are things i've forgotten (i wish i had a song sheet), but the whole experience was just amazing, i think i might be slightly addicted to live music now, so yay!!!
