Ok so small confession...
When I made my last post back on vallies-day, announcing there was indeed another little bun baking in the oven, I had known about it for quite awhile beforehand. As super duper cool as it would have been to have found out on Valentines Day, it was actually January 2nd that those two little lines appeared befre my eyes!
Sooo Rob and I decided mid last year that we were ready to give William a little brother or sister, but decided to wait until around November before we went about it... I had always hoped that William would be around 2 and a half by the time the next bubs made its grand arrival, so based on that, November was the month to, well to put it bluntly, go like bunnies! haha!
Luckily, it only took us 2 cycles... which I thought was funny, cause it took us 2 cycles with William aswell. Rob was terribly sick over New Years with an awful throat infection, and spent about 3 days tucked up in bed feeling miserable. I had a leftover test in my drawer from last cycle, and secretly went into the bathroom and did it - I couldnt believe my eyes when the line appeared, so dark and obvious, and so quickly!!! Rob hadnt wanted me to test so soon, cause he preferred me to wait a little longer, to try and avoid disappointment... so Ive burst into our bedroom, test hidden behind my back... said 'um Rob... I was naughty and did the test.....' then I jumped on the bed bouncing around and yelled 'its positive!' then proceeded to burst into a big sobbing mess of happy tears! hehe! :)
I went and bought another test just to be sure, and yup - you know the rest :)
For some reason, I felt really anxious about this pregnancy - I got myself so nervous and worried that something might go wrong... sometimes I think its a case of 'too much information can be a bad thing'. Sooo we told family and a few close friends, and that was all. On Valentines Day, we had our very first ultrasound scan - and there was our beautiful little baby grape, all comfy cozy layzing around in my belly, its sweet little heart thumping away - theres nothing more amazing than that first peek at your growing baby let me tell you - it makes it all seem REAL from that point on. Sooooo thats when I felt confidant to yell it from the rooftops! I believed it myself then, I was having a baby!!!
According to the measurements taken, our bubs was 11weeks, 2 days along. Which was just *slightly* too early for them to get the measurements that they wanted too (they measure the space of fluid behind their necks to rate the risk of a down syndrome baby, as well as a blood and urine test that give a mroe accurate answer) so we were told to come back again next week for another scan, which I didnt mind in the slightest!!!
So last Wednesday, we had our second peek at bubs!
I couldnt get over how much he/she had grown in just a week...
bubs was in almost exactly the same position as last week, so im guessing it likes that spot! Im not sure if you can tell but its little hand is up by its mouth and legs stretched out...
sweet little profile...
We got so see bubs wave, rub its face and roll over... and for the most part - sleep!
Its so fascinating... a baby thats only 6cm in length, has a brain, heart, kidney, bladder, stomach etc etc
Weve been given a due date of September 3rd :)
So stay tuned!!!
