I am SO grossed out right now...
*breathe*
William and I were just outside in the sunshine - I was hanging some towels out to dry on the washing line, and William was having a wriggle on a blankie, exploring the grass...
When we came inside, Salem, our cat, scooted inside the door with us. A few minutes later I notice her batting at, and jumping around *something* on the floor. Upon investigation I discover that its a BIRD
The bird wasnt moving, so she'd obviously gotten to it first, then brought it inside with her. Wellllll let me tell you MANY expletives were yelled... which resulted in her picking the bird up in her mouth - and bolting towards my bedroom!!!!!!! Im yelling and screaming after her saying "ohhhh no dont you !@@#$@ go into my !@@$#@ room you !@$#$##@!%$ of a cat!!!" Or something there abouts to that effect... William is in the loungeroom laughing and squealing at me - he thought it was a great laugh watching Mummy throw a mental!!!
Sooo Salem has bolted into my room - and UNDER the bed with this DEAD BIRD. Im freaking out! I ran off to grab some rubber gloves - tried giving Rob a call at work on my way because as I mentioned, Im freaking out and wondering if I could perhaps somehow pretend that it isnt happening, that there ISNT a dead bird under my bed - at least until he comes home from work and can get "rid" of it... I realise though that no, thats completely gross - so I pull myself together and off I go with my gloves...
Salem has decided now is a good time to devour the bird and has *just* started (UNDER MY !@#$@!$#$ BED!) Soooo i yelled some more and she picks up the bird and runs out into the house with it in her mouth, and at last drops it. I pick it up and its just a little baby :( :( I check that it is in fact dead, then carefully placed it in a bag... and into the bin.
Kick the cat oustide in disgust... turn around to find that William has pulled a candy cane off of the Christmas tree, has managed to get the wrapper partially undone, and is having a GREAT time sucking away...
I think he figured THIS was his big chance... ha!
Ohhhhh k I feel better now sharing that! Off to give William something a tad more nutritios and baby friendly to consume now in the form of a bottle...
