Unboxing the new arrival! Lots of peektures behind the cut.

Mar 27, 2007 15:37

Yesterday was an interesting day.

First off, I was not expecting my package to arrive... Secondly, both my boyfriend and I were home, as I don't work Mondays to begin with and he was ill and had called in sick to work. The door bell rang - a rather common occurrence during the weekdays as people tend to come around canvasing in our neighbourhood - and when a peek out the window established it was the mail carrier I ran for the door, horribly embarrassed that I had to answer the door in my pajamas. -_-;;

Still, I'm sure the average post-man-or-woman has seen people in plenty of worse stranger states than flannel pjs.

I confirmed that the package was mine, was pleased to discover there was no duty on the package (compared to the $40 I paid when Isabeau arrived), signed for it and thanked him.

I then made some incoherent noises of glee/excitement.

And now, on to the pictures. I apologize in advance, there are quite a few of them (13 pictures of the 63 I took). Since I didn't have a digital camera over a year ago when Isabeau arrived, I never got to do this for her unboxing.

In my last teaser post, I linked to the box photo.

So inside that box? We have another box.

Bubblewrap! At this point, my boyfriend got excited... so I gave him the bubble wrap to play with.

Oooh, pretty shoebox with a ribbon. I did my best to extract the ribbon without destroying it.

So, what's in the box? More bubblewrap - which also goes to the boyfriend. And foam.

No more packaging! Hello little one, who might you be?

[please pardon the following incoherent squeeing. Thanks, the management.]

What else do we have the box? The box for the eyes, extra hands, elastic and two pairs of wings!

No more box for you. Lets see what you really look like.

...I think I'm in love.

Can I just say HOW PLEASED I am with his default faceup? *_*

Now lets try out those wings. First the Clamp-style wings.

...and now, the insect/fairy wings.

Wow.

While Bambicrony dolls have genderless bodies, mine is intended to be a little boy. i do have a name already picked out for him, but I'm going to think on it a day or two and see if it fits him.

In the meantime, he needs hair. And you know, clothing. XD
