I think I've mentioned the volunteer thing I do through my work, where a bunch of us go to an elementary school (the one I went to, in fact) and have third graders practice their reading skills on us. The little boy I have this year is a lot more difficult than the kids I've had in previous years; usually they're well-behaved and eager to please, but he's easily distracted and it's almost impossible to get him to do anything he doesn't actively want to do. He's kind of a handful. Anyway, today was Round 375093215098431 of trying to get him to sit down and read one book instead of flipping through a dozen, so business as usual. But when I told him it was time for me to leave and I'd see him next week, he gave me a huge hug and said, "Thank you for coming."

Yeah, it made my day.

Edit: It seems I can now leg press 320 pounds. O_O
