WAKESTOCK!!!!!!
hey guys,
wakestock was soooo amazing i swear i still have an adrenaline rush thinking about it..soo pumped. i never want to forget ne of it...well except maybe the sunburn on my back hehe.. it was my favourite day of this summer by far!
we were there for over 12 hours. we left pretty early in the morning. lauren's dad drove me, lauren, and breanna and maria's bro drove maria, maureene and lara. we got dropped off at finch station and after a bit of calling back and forth on cell phones found each other and took the subway down to union station. haha it was lauren's first time on a subway so she wanted to take pictures on it. the ferry ride was pretty neat cept i lost my student card so i lied and said i was 14 to pay the cheap price. but the guy obviously knew i was lying caz he asked me when my birthday is..:S..i nearly got caught there lol, i said march 16th and then thought really fast and said 1991..i only knew that caz my sis was born that year. i think the guy knew i was lying but he let me in neway so i only had to pay $2.50 instead of the regular 6 bucks. when we got to Toronto Island me and maureene tried to sell the extra ticket that maria had. it was a 45 dollar ticket and we were guna sell it for 10 bucks. too bad evry1 we asked already had tickets..finally we tried to give it away but still no one wanted it. stupid ppl. neways..we spent the morning shopping and watching wakeboarding. there was so much to buy!! i got this awesum billabong t-shirt that says wakestock on it and one of those rubber bracelets that says wakestock and also this awesum necklace. there were also these advertising tables giving away all this free stuff..free gum, free pop, free hair gel (haha breanna), free stickers and frisbees. me, lara, lauren, and maria got our hair done for free and we also got to sit in these comfy massage chairs!! woo. the wakeboarding was awesum too..wow those guys were so sexy and so good!! they were from all over the world including austria and france and australia!!!! while watching, me and maria covered a frisbee with all my stickers..it is by far the coolest frisbee u've ever seen!!
during the day we say a few bands, played frisbee, watched more wakeboarding, watched these awesum guys on these motorbikes do flips n stuff, watched skateboarding a bit, and just hung out and ate pizza! the first band we saw was the drivers from winnipeg, they were so good and the lead singer was sooo hot!! walking around a bit we saw ppl from much music and the edge!!! it felt so weird caz i see them on tv all the time and it was like wow they're right there.. the guy from the edge noticed me and did a shout-out from the stage to me...for hitting some girl in the head with a frisbee..whoops now that was embarassing. oh and we nearly got caught in a mosh pit hehe..now i kno wat moshing is. i thought there was a fight at first..but now i really want to try moshing just so i can say i've done it!
some more of the bands we saw were silverstein, the salads, goldfinger, and reel big fish. while waiting for goldfinger to come on me and maureene started this game of frisbee and this shirtless hottie came to play with us!! he was soo sexy lol and a good frisbee player..i wanted to get a pic with him but he left :-(. we also got the drivers' autographs, and a pic with them!!! i was so excited, i want the lead singer! we saw them just standing around and i wanted to run up to them and be like "I LOVE U"!!! but my friends are wimps :P. when goldfinger came on me and maureene ran up to a middle spot in the crowd and danced and yelled with evry1..soo awesum. i asked this guy to take a pic of the band for me but he "cldn't see shit" lol so he asked me if i wanted a pic of his hot friends instead..i said sure..they were cute lol. goldfinger let a bunch of ppl come up and dane on the stage with them but maureene wldn't come with me, the bum. reel big fish was awesum.. they were a rock band with trombones and trumpets!! maria's aunt got us backstage passes so we got to stand right behind the band. i had so much adrenaline flowing i was jumping and screaming lol..i can't even describe it..it was just so amazing. afterwards i kept hugging maria and saying i love u lol.
we had to leave around 10 but i didn't want to go at all. i wish we cld have stayed all night lol. we took the ferry back to toronto and were just waiting for maria's bro to drive us home when the funniest thing happened.. this random drunk guy came up to us and randomly asked me for a smoke..lol i was apparently encouraging him by asking him how he liked wakestock but he stayed around talking to us and i was laughing my ass off. he hugged maria and patted me on the back lol and said that he thought i was cute which was scary then he told me to not listen to maria hehe. he stared at breanna for a min and she was like wat lol.. but dan's friend was standing with us so he cld have hit the drunk guy if he had tried nething.. haha we teased him the rest of the night for not being a gentleman and rescuing us lol poor kid. it was so funny tho!!!
we stopped at wendy's for dinner and got home around 12:00. it was just soooo awesum!! i can't wait till next year.
