Ahhhhhhh lets see....
2006- a brief overview: I spent a lot of nice time with Pat in January, I auditioned for grad schools (which I admit was a lot of fun), waited for mail again (not so fun), didn't do much school work or practicing, finished at Crane at left Potsdam, had a long but pretty good summer mostly with my family and working, moved to Ohio, started at CIM, adjusted to life by myself, eventually made some really great new friends, saw my sister more, and pretty much had a lovely last two or three months! :)
with that.........
HAPPY 2007!!!!!!!!
Many thanks to Julie, Ryan, Pat, Zach, Zoe, Cathie, cousin Dan, Eva, and Jacob for hanging out with/meeting/eating with/hosting me on my week long flute adventure!!!!!! It was really great to see you all! I miss all of my Potsdam friends :) It was cool I was able to see so many of you guys in such a short time! Sorry I missed a lot of you too!
OHHHH man what a cool week! I stayed somewhat healthy through all of the animals I'm fairly allergic to. As always, thanks for excusing my constant blowing of the nose. I did end up getting sick with a cold Thursdayish though... after I stopped my allergy medicine and got less and less sleep...(this was the first time I've been sick since the end of February if I remember correctly..?) I seem to really enjoy Ohio for many reasons, including the non-allergic part. My immune system is definitely quite happy there! I think the good amounts of walking and sleeping definitely add to being healthy as well.
FLUTES FLUTES and more FLUTES! Oh my. It was quite the experience and I'm so glad that I didn't have to chose only 1 or 2 allllll alone and by myself. I spent four days trying pretty much 4 different companies flutes. I realllllly liked what I played on although it was really hard to tell sometimes which ones I liked better. Really, MY FLUTE DOESN'T SUCK TOO BAD!!!!! I actually am still ok with how it sounds, sure I hate the foot joint with a passion but.... it's "not that bad"-JS ahha I have with me right now 3 new ones, two Haynes (a gold one, a silver one), and one Powell with two headjoints. Two other Haynes are coming along from JBW's on Wednesday hopefully to Cleveland. So 5 total with various combinations of headjoints, a little gold, mostly silver with gold added for headjoints hahaha. I am about to play the ones here again in my empty house thank god hhaha it's the best time to doodle around without my mom. Looks to me like I'll be getting a Haynes... just depends on which one of the four....!
Ok so, I'm home until Tuesday. Back to Cleveland at 8:00 AM on Tuesday which I am (for many reasons) reallllllllly looking forward to!!!! More on that later, but it just will be so nice to be at my own place again. My semester, with actual classes this time, starts on the 16th. I'm going to have a lesson with all of these flutes on Thursday or Friday I believe, before JS goes to Miami for two weeks! Hopefully..... my masters recital will be on March 24th!!!!!! Ohhh man how excited I am.
I still have to get my hair cut since it's been since the beginning of September. I think I'm ready for a slightly different change of look. Still no dying it and not horribly short but I don't know... I have had the same hair cut (shorter or longer) since I can remember which is pretty damn boring if I say so myself. I've been lazy and I wear my hair down WAY more frequently which to me is strange... it would be less strange if I always liked the way it looked. It's always a stupid battle and indecisiveness.
It's pretty much 50 here in VT. On January 7th!??!? WACKO! But as Jacob informed me, it's an El Nino year. Interesting.
My neck hurts ahahha ooops it's probably me not sitting correctly or sleeping correctly. Gotta get back to A.T. and yoga, maybe ballet? ohhhh that's a long shot.
I have a lot of stuff to bring back with me to Ohio. I've already started packing and I already started a new suitcase... I try I really do. ahahha
