So, apparently, our orchestra (at school), wants to do some full orchestra stuff, so I'm in that now. We're doing Russian Sailor's Dance. It better be the good arrangement, a la the one I played at Blue Lake.

And, apparently, their orchestra (Symphony @ MYS) is accompany-ing the soloists for Youth Arts Festival. And they've got 2 flutes. And they could use one more. So now I'm going. And I get to see what I missed out on last year! And I get to play with Symphony for once! :-)
This is going to be my senior trip....
Now, we just have to talk a bassoonist into it....

And on Tuesday, we're going to an elementary school during 5th and 6th hour, to play some pieces for them! Including: A bunch of children's pieces arranged into one, a la I'm A Little Teapot, etc. (It's a surprisingly good arrangement. I'm impressed. It doens't make us sound, well.....elementary.); Frickin' Circus March (yes, it's the one you're thinking. Entrance of the frickin' Gladiators.); and a Lord of the Rings quickie arrangement, Howard Shore style.
Although, how many elementary kids will recognize the music from LotR? We should've done Harry Potter instead. Obviously.

This makes it:
Tuesday, April 11th: Elementary; possible Day In Age concert.
Thursday: Spring Break (I'm vacationing with Huck Finn. We're going down the Mississippi. :-/
May 3rd: AP Calc BC test
May 5th/6th: State Band Festival
May 7th(?): MYS Concert
May 8th: AP Physics test
May 9th(?): Band concert?
May 12th: Youth Arts Fest.
NOTE:
June 4th: My open house, fools.

And I thought I was done being busy.
Woo! Life is flying by.
Someone make it stop. Please.
