State of RPing
Well, this is an interesting state to be in. It's been on decline for several months, admittedly. I've always been a fan of creating OCs, especially those at the beginning stages. I blame reading the manga of Dragon Quest VII for inspiring me that for the concept of a character. It was always fun to have a character start off at the bottom, especially when they grow stronger and grow as a character.
Jiro Kasagi, my Match of the Millenium character is a good example. He was just a street punk that had no real direction. Because of someone, he wanted to get strong so he took the offer of a strong individual by the name of Kain Heinlein. But after several events past that, Jiro is now an officer of Interpol(but may likely go vigilante eventually). But for the 3 years that I've RPed him.

- He was ratio 1.2, which was pretty low compared to his rival.
Now? It's July 16 of 2008. Jiro is 3.2. He has developed in these two years and I am happy with that.
Reize Seatlan was an experiment that I have had so long ago. I tried concept after concept and each of them kinda crashed horribly, especially with my implemations on it at Gate. But, after having a solid idea, I don't have too much of a place where I can give him a chance to grow like I made Jiro. The most viable idea was to start him off as a young, idealistic hero who will grow to be a knight like his father.
I write fanfics at times, but I don't care to do so too much. I only do it now to cover backstory and all if necessary. MU*s are generally where I like playing. Forum RP doesn't do it for me and IRC is too restrictive on the posing style that I've grown to use.
But... with the MU*s being nothing but multi-theme and all, I suppose I am losing my heart to RP all-together. Multi-themes have grown to disinterest me. Thankfully, MotM has kept that going. But, I have considered quitting MU*ing all together. Still a bit disappointed at the FF MU* that never got off-ground.
But, recent idea was converting Reize into a Tales of character... but there are no Tales of MU*. While I had the idea of making a Tales of the World MUSH, which would draw influence from Radiant Mythology 1(or, if 2 is different than 1 and more viable, I would use that), but I remember that I am ultimately lazy towards implementing the idea and that I am way too busy with military-life and getting back on track with my school-life, which is why I am really leaning towards quitting entirely.
Got in the mood of cyberpunk as of late, but of course, nothing stood-out as far as the themes go. What I do remember is that all of the viable places that I could have played at or have played at before had died.
Now, there are many MU*s based off of franchises that I cannot get into. Maybe it's because I'm too narrow-minded, but eh, compatibility issues.
....Ah well. Just my venting for the day.
