The Decemberists were here again last night and it was another A-MOTHERFUCKIN-MAZING show. My sister's awesome and obsessive when it comes to being close to Colin Meloy's face, so she showed up at the theater super early to get us spots up in the front of the crowd and by the end of an eight hour standing workday and four hours concert standing I feel a little like someone's been punching me in the kneecaps, but it was SO worth it. They played the entirety of The Hazards of Love straight through and it was honestly kind of spine-tingly. The Rake's Song, with everyone but Colin on drums, actually gave me goosebumps it was so awesome. And I want to be Shara Worden when I grow up; her voice and energy is incredible.

And then they took a fifteen minute break and came back to play ANOTHER HOUR and some minutes of older stuff. It's funny when they play here because they always pull out a couple old songs that Colin wrote with Missoula or Montana-specific lyrics and everyone goes a little batshit crazy. It's a reaction you're not gonna get from any other crowd.

Anyway, SUPER FUN.
