[Fay's bad luck and his problems with his magic here have struck again. The backlash from the abuse the barrier took hit him hard and laid him out for a while. When he came to, he found himself alone at the hot spring, disoriented and aching, though laid carefully out on his futon. Now he's gazing into his Dreamberry, looking extremely dazed ( Read more... )

Yeah, you definitely have a sense of urgency here.

Ahaha, you'll have to forgive me. I did just wake up after all.

Then pick some better time to sleep. A time where things aren't falling out of the sky and the moon isn't disappearing on us.

I cannot say that I wanted to sleep in particular, but it seems that the barrier had other ideas in mind!

Yeah, well, next time, stay in bed. It's... a little hectic outside, to be honest.

In truth, I really do not feel that I will be getting up for a bit. My head is still throbbing a little.

Party before bed?

Don't I wish! No, something of "mine" got tangled in the magic around here again, it seems.

... huh. Explain.

The reason for my nap and my splitting headache is because I felt a "recoil" when the castle hit the barrier. Apparently. [Grin.]

Describe the recoil. Is this what usually happens when something magical happens around you, or have these 'naps' only started occurring when you arrived here?

Hmm, recoil ... like when one of my spells "snaps," especially if it is an intensive one. For example, if I were shielding myself from another magician and they succeeded in breaking the shield, the energy concussion from that has knocked me out before. It felt just like that. I have nothing to do with the barrier here, obviously, but I really felt it when the castle hit it. My magic has gotten tangled in other spells here already.

... annoying, that's what it is. And I'm guessing that you've already tried to get your magic untangled, to no avail.

To be honest, I am not entirely certain why it is tangled or where it is tangled. Not all magic here affects me in that manner. It really is quite a puzzle.

Which brings me to think that maybe there is a similar link between your magic and the magic that runs this place.

Hmm ... perhaps, but that seems strange. My magic source has very little or more than likely nothing to do with dreams, after all.
