So, I was contemplating turning Unicorn back into Amalthea a bit. And I thought of you. But I can't really imagine why Fay would do that to Unicorn.

Hmm, well he certainly would if she wished it or if it was necessary for some reason. She probably wouldn't wish it though, correct? I wonder if we can think of a reason for it to be necessary? ^.^

No, she wouldn't wish for that ever again actually. Even for a second. And I can't think of anything here in Somarium that is a big enough threat to her to turn her into a human. Unless... well, I'll talk to one of the mods but I doubt even the ghosts would bother her THAT much for her to desire to escape it

I guess a question could be if all of the ghosts are nice or if there are antagonistic ones that might want to capture her?

Unfortunately I don't think antagonistic ones really exist but I'll ask. And I doubt a drunk Fay would do such a thing either.

Nah, Fay's pretty harmless when he's drunk, and one can only wonder if he's as drunk as he acts. XD Perhaps there are other characters who might like to?

Commenting here again so as to not clutter the White Day log, but I think I may have come up with an idea while I was at work today. ^___^ If I'm remembering the story correctly, Schmendrick wasn't really known for his "neatness" when it came to magic. How open are you to the idea that there still might be a residue or "seed" remaining of the spell he placed on her inside of her?

I wouldn't mind it at all, and she has some part of her still being human inside her anyways with her ability to love Lir still. But does that mean the seed itself will just manifest her into a human or...?

I was thinking that perhaps if Fay used magic in her vicinity that maybe his magic could resonate with the remains of the spell and activate it. So it would more or less be an accident.

could we work it in such a way so it's not an instant fix? Like, since Fay ISN'T incompetent with magic, he would be able to seal it even if it was an accident?

I think I could probably come up with a reason he couldn't fix it right away. If his magic got tangled in the spell in just the right way (especially if he isn't able to sense the spell since she's a magic being as a whole) he would have to be pretty careful about untangling it and sealing it. He may even have to go looking for information or ask for assistance. He has a LOT of power and has been taught a great deal about magic, but I'm sure there are still those occasional instances that require a little more research (never mind that his spells aren't always foolproof either XD).
