"Something up with you, Fisher?" asked Eric asked her, taking a bite of his hotdog as they walked the two blocks from their suspects house to the crime lab. Amy looked over at him, and back down at her feet with a sigh.
"I don’t know," she said softly, running her hand through her hair. Eric snorted at her, making her glare sat him, which only spurred on his smirk. "What?"
"I’ve got three sisters. I know when it’s guy problems."
"I’m highly suspicious of your sexual orientation right now," muttered Amy, coming to a stop at the street and turning to face Eric. "What makes you think it’s your business?"
"I grew up with Danny for starters."
"What makes you think it’s Danny?"
"Is it Danny?" asked Eric, popping the remainder of his hotdog in his mouth and giving Amy a weird half serious half face-full-of-food look. Amy snorted and placed her hands on her hips. "I’ll take that as a yes."
"It’s none of your business."
"Obviously, so spill."
"He’s so...err!" growled Amy, clenching her fists angrily. "I can’t decide if he’s flirting with me or dumping me. He hasn’t been the same towards me since I got out of Trinity and it’s freaking me out."
"You want me to talk to him?"
"We’re not in middle school, Cafiso."
"Would you talk to him?"
"Not for the life of me," said Amy softly. "He might be inclined to dump me."
Eric opened his mouth to say something mildly comforting but was interrupted by Amy’s cell going off. She glanced at the screen before flipping it open and saying hi to Danny.
"You know I love you, right?" asked Amy softly after a few minutes of talking to him and Danny didn’t say anything on the other line for a few seconds.
"Yeah, Amy. You too."
