I've just been perusing other people's journals, purely for research you understand.
I thought I'd have a quick peek at the people who've listed Void Construct as an interest and I'm actually pleased with the results. Obviously there are a couple of random nutters but the majority are pretty switched on individuals. Plus, we are in good company on their interests page...not the groan-worthy "donkeys, Barbie, Getting pissed, Random synthpop dirge, gothpop nonsense, mainstream EBM (if you can call it that). Nope, we get to be alongside Hocico, Skinny Puppy, Tactical Sekt, Haujobb etc....who are all proper musicians and I am hugely proud *chest is puffed out here*. Call me a snob but I think the average VoID CoNSTRUCT fan is an intelligent and discerning individual with mature and diverse musical tastes. Does that mean we are taken seriously as musicians rather than throwaway trash?
Plus, I was amazed at the number of users from the US, it would appear we are actually popular over there. Also, the number of CDs I've had to bung over there in jiffy bags and the emails I've had from DJs is testament to this . Sadly, our overall record sales do not seem to reflect this. Still, I'm sure Skinny Puppy had to work to get where they are and my 6 month sabbatical hasn't helped.
Our fans may not have the woolliest of hair but they have integrity...I love you guys xx
