(no subject)
I'm really panicking about Aberdeen on Friday. According to all the details we can only bring 1 piece of luggage each....Oh My God! That hardly covers the keyboard let alone my shoes. I will have to phone BA and investigate. Quite how we're going to blag all the equipment on the flight I have no idea....wish me luck.
There are some new and exciting developments in VoID CoNSTRUCT land, which if they materialise, will be the greatest thing ever in the history of the world (well from my perspective anyway). Currently, my only confidant in this matter is gedankengift, as he has a vested interest :o) I would surely have exploded if it hadn't been for him! Hopefully I will be able to reveal all in the next few days...in the music sense that is!
On the job front...my contract has been extended until June, which gives me a bit of time to find a permanent job. On the minus side, I went for an interview on Thursday, I was 150% qualified for the job, I had every essential and desirable from the person specification. I was having a storming interview until they asked why I left my last permanent job, at this point I started jabbering about my Grandparents and the lack of promotion prospects, told them I'd taken loads of time off and finished with the classic line "So, I thought I'd better leave before they fired me". Congratulations to me, I cannot believe I said that. I had a rejection letter yesterday and I'm pretty damn certain it was down to that one statement! I don't know what's happened to me recently, I used to be quite confident at interviews.
Today I have been gardening, not that anyone needed to know that!!!
