Two days of class, and I already feel like not going to class ever again. Mostly. I guess it's because most of the classes don't seem to be that ... fulfilling. Let's see....
* LINGUISTICS 103A - or, Linguistic Theory.
Ugh. The professor drawls. And says 'uh' a lot, but not as often as whoever was the professor for Intro to Compy. And he starts class 10 minutes before it should, which means I'll always be late, no matter what bus I take. He also seems to beat around the bush often. At least the discussion is in Hickey. I hear that's a fun place to have class.
* GERMAN 1 - uh, this is self-explanatory.
Total. German. Immersion. I haven't been surrounded with this much German since I was in Vienna last year. I think there were 2 or 3 people who were already affluent with the language and were talking with the teacher in really good German ON THE FIRST DAY! I thought this was a beginner's course >_<.
* LINGUISTICS 106 - or, Basic English Grammar.
I know I'll like this one, because I've had the professor before. Apparently it's supposed to be 'parsing sentences' (analyzing, for those who don't want to crack out the dictionary just yet). Sounds like fun.
Sigh. I hate those kinds of nights when you can't get to sleep. They make you very drowsy the next day. And maybe make you late for a 7:00 bus that will get you to class late no matter what.
Oh, how I love college life.
