Dad's Story

I want to be encouraging, but my Dad just sent me this and asked what I thought:

"Molly was a 33 year old hard working girl who lived alone in her smart modern terraced house which was situated in a quiet cul de sac a few miles from the Stourbridge town centre.

To say she lived all alone isn't strictly true as she had 3 pet cats, all black, named, Flopsy, Mopsy and Topsy.

Her house had a conservatory with a cat flap and so the cats were free to come and go as they pleased, which was ideal as Molly had a full time job - PA to a Solicitor, five minutes car drive away.

Molly loved all the cats equally but what she didn't know was that Topsy had 'special powers' and Topsy had the ability to become any human being she wanted!

It had been a nice summer, so Topsy had been quite happy to be a 'stay at home' cat, but as autumn approached she thought about trying out her 'special powers', particularly as Molly had been very unhappy lately and perhaps Topsy could help?

Molly had been crying a lot and was very unhappy and needing lots of cuddles from Flopsy, Mopsy and Topsy.

Also whilst Topsy was wandering outside one day it started to rain, so Topsy sheltered under Molly's car but there wasn't a lot of room due to the fact that the cars' tyres seemed close to flat.

Topsy decided it was now time to exercise her powers and left home that day whilst Molly was at work, to transpose herself into the body of Molly's mother, which would then enable her to get her mom to convince Molly to get her tyres fixed as this was what Topsy thought was making her unhappy and of course she wanted Molly to be safe when she was driving her car along the dangerous roads of the West Midlands.

Well initially the tyres weren't fixed so Topsy decided to try harder, but this time Topsy moved into the body of Molly's father. This took a few days as he lived 25 miles away but eventually she made it and set to work.

Topsy also thought she would get Molly's dad to convince her that she needed a nice new white Peugeot car!

Through the eyes of Molly's dad, Topsy could see from an email that the new tyre chat was beginning to work but just to be sure Topsy moved in the body of the Tyre Fitter at Molly's local garage to make sure the job was done properly, also not to charge too much as pay day was a few days away.

In the meantime Topsy found out that the body transposing was irreversible and she knew this would upset Molly so she would need to give some thought as to how she could get this message back to Molly.

Maybe Topsy could get into the body of the person who picked the Lottery numbers? But even Topsy knew that money doesn't buy happiness.

Topsy settled for getting Molly's dad to pass on the message that although she may never see her again, she would always be looking out for her and make sure she was safe.

Topsy knew Molly would look after Flopsy and Mopsy and who knows maybe get another cat?

But above all she wanted very much for Molly to be happy"
