I haven't updated in quite awhile, so to summarize:
I'm going to be starting a volunteer internship at the Menil(www.menil.org) next monday. I went in for a kind of orientation last week and, wow. I wish I could just have this as a job, but it's unpaid (grumble grumble), and also a long drive. I'm starting at one day a week helping in the membership department (it's a nonprofit and gets most of its money from donations). My "boss" is great. She lived in pennsylvania, then in england and norway, so we had a long conversation about our impressions of Houston compared to the other place(s) we had lived.
I got a job at Hobby Lobby. For anyone who isn't familiar with Hobby Lobby, it's half kitschy, fluffy scrapbook center and half DIY heaven. I like to sew my own pillows and such. Also, it's one stop shopping for any university art course. They're paying me practically minimum wage, but at least they're paying me.
I have become addicted to Neoquest. http://www.neopets.com/games/nq2/index.phtml. I don't know if it's anything like Everquest, because I've never played Everquest. All I know is i have to beat the game.
