lack of xmas cheer
This year I have no Xmas cheer. I don't know if its just getting older but I just don't see the point. More stuff, more sales- not that I have any money anyway for it all. The people at work are more excited by having 3 weeks off- to sleep in. Two of them are going away- one to visit family up North, the other to Thailand for a month (he applied for his extra leave).
I know what I'm getting people and have got most of the presents. Still deciding on the 14 year old girl- probably some boy band branded something and her Dad. I'm getting sick of hearing the ole 'cheap is good' proverb.
Cheap actually isn't good- it means often ripping off the actual producer (often in the third world) and not the corporation which a lot of people want to do.
And the things I want for Xmas are not material items anyway.
