A buddy of mine was giving some stuff away so I decided to take it off his hands. Two fish tanks with a stand (that fits both of them ontop of it), all the lights, pumps, filters, thermometers, etc etc. Lots of rocks and tiles and things too, for decoration purposes. He was cleaning his house and needed to make some space and was trying to sell them, but gave them to me for free. Probably because I'm the sweetest girl ever. tee hee. The only problem is that it's dark now and it's all sitting in my car waiting to be hauled upstairs and I can't bring myself to do it. For a couple of reasons. 1. He didn't empty the tanks out till five minutes before I got there, and they've never been cleaned and neither has any of the surrounding equiptment so it's all really dirty, smelly, and gross.. 2. They're really heavy 3. We live on the second floor 4. I need to decide WHERE to put them. Upstairs or downstairs??? If I put them upstairs there's the perfect spot but will it be too noisey for me when I try to sleep, and if I put them downstairs where the heck will they go? I wish my mom was here to help me figure this out :) She's so good at arranging stuff.
Mom that reminds me, I've taken some pics of the new place and am resizing them now.. it's going to take me a while to finish because I took a LOT! And emailing them will be a little time consuming but I'll try to get it finished by the end of this weekend.
But YAAAAY two fishtanks!!!!!!
What should I do you guys? Upstairs where there's so much room and they'll be relaxing to fall asleep to, and it will seem less cluttered and they'll have some peace and quiet? Or downstairs where it will no doubt make the livingroom more crowded no matter where they go?
Also.. what kind of fishies should I get? Two tanks means I can probably get two different groups. You know, one tank holding a few different species that get along, and the other tank can hold the other species that I wanted that get along but wouldn't get along with the fish in the first tank.... Saltwater is too expensive and time consuming for me so freshwater is what it will be for sure. Do you guys have any good experiences with fish?
