I saw a meme on Facebook: "some people aren't loyal to you. They are loyal to their need of you. Once their needs change, so does their loyalty." Of course it had a picture of someone riding a horse underneath.
So Friday night my little horse aficionado blew me off after texting me the night before. It was so she could hang out with a semi-bisexual guy named Tom. He ended up blowing her off, and yesterday she texted me complaining that she's jealous he decided to go out that night with a guy. And invited me over.
It was just so annoying. Did she really not get my feelings for her that I tamp down? I texted her back "welcome to the club of liking the wrong orientation".
Lis and I were hanging out - we try to be nice friends here and there. She drew the same parallel I do to the Neil in love with me situation. But then pointed out - Neil has it better. Not because I still give him sex, but because I ACKNOWLEDGE HIM. I treat him like a person. Lis said I needed to grow some self-esteem.
I turned her down to play cards with Lis. Not that she probably knew or cares.
I need to do some soul-searching, I think. I'm too distracted by the not having a partner, overwhelmed by beautiful dreams in which I find shreds of cute female interest. At least they give me some hope.
Ugh. Peace out I hope.
