When you least expect it

It's kinda funny who you come across when you daisy-chain through submissions on FA and dA. I was checking my FA submission updates and looked at Brokken's latest upload that someone drew for him. I clicked the artist's name for the heck of it, as I'd seen his account and name many times in the past but never took everything on the page into consideration.

Anyway, I noticed on one of his images, he wrote his name for the image copyright, and that's when a light bulb went off. I knew the name was familiar but I didn't think it was who I thought it was... until I looked over his Blogspot page and he mentioned he was an NJ native. Additionally, one of his contact links had one of his old email addresses that he had given me back then. That did it for me, because I remembered the guy as a fellow classmate back in college and we got to be friends after he saw my (at the time, super shitty) furry art. He'd told me he was into furry art and drew a lot of it (and honestly, even then, his work was really excellent, though it's amazing now), and we got to be friends that semester or two. I had sometimes wondered where he went after he graduated, but now I see what he's been up to since that time (I won't lie, I'm very impressed).

I just sent him a note via FA to verify if it really is him. If it is, I'm hoping we can keep in touch here and there. I just find it rather amazing (though I really should have figured at SOME point) to find his galleries after all these years. :)

Oh, in case you're wondering who I'm talking about:

Some of you may already know of his work.

EDIT: Confirmed, it is indeed him. :)
