(no subject)
just a quick update, and then it is to bed for me.
i had an incredible time in vegas last weekend!!!!! my sister has about 120 pics on her camera, which she will be sharing with me soon. to make a long story short, i drank a lot of margaritas, i saw really really hot austrailian strippers (male, duh!) and then i saw a wild burro on the side of a desert road. the burro was standing just north of a burro x-ing sign. we also went to studio 54 and spent quite a bit of time lounging beside one of four beautiful pools and a lazy river at the mgm grande. i bought my sister one too many drinks at studio 54, and she literally grabbed some random man on the walk back to our room. drunken amusement is the best kind.
the plane trips were a nightmare! BEWARE OF THE LAS VEGAS AIRPORT ON A THURSDAY NIGHT--just trust me on that one :o) my flight to vegas was an hour longer than the norm because of strong easterly winds, and then my 40 minute return flight from atlanta to charleston turned into a 3 hour flight from hell. we reached charleston on time, but the plane couldn't land because there was an intense fog over the city. so we circled in the air for about 45 minutes and still couldn't land. by that time the plane was running low on fuel, so we had to make a detour over to columbia where we sat on the runway for another 45 minutes while they refueled and visibility returned. i was so happy to be off that plane!
i've been so lazy at work since returning home...but i have discovered starbucks double shot expresso. it has so much caffeine that it makes me tremble, but it has truly saved my work ethics. the gorgeous real estate agent who visits us often has the same rejuvenating effect as the expresso ;o)
