PSA Addendum: still a VERY good idea, but...

If you wanted to send an x-mas or season's greetings card to recovering soldiers, please note the following:
Any mail sent to Walter Reed addressed in any variation of what was previously posted will be thrown away unopened for safety reasons.
Walter Reed, in a statement they made about this, recommends the following sites if you want to support the troops:
http://www.usocares.com/
http://www4.army.mil/ocpa/tooursoldiers/
http://www.redcross.org/
Alternatively, they recommend contacting your local military base.
